FAQ

What does a POSTPARtum PT visit entail?

The first visit will consist of an initial evaluation, encompassing a health history and physical exam. This may include a pelvic floor muscle exam if you’ve been cleared by your OB/midwife. Based upon findings, we will create an approachable home routine to safely progress you back to your goals.

Do you ACCEPT INsurance?

As an out-of-network provider I am happy to present you with a ‘superbill’ (invoice) that will contain all information needed for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. It is up to you to determine if you have out-of-network coverage by contacting your insurance provider. I accept credit cards and Zelle for payments, due at time of service.

How long is each visit?

Each session will run 45-60 minutes, consisting of manual therapy, targeted muscular activation and strengthening, as well as postural and exercise review. Each session is tailored to the specific needs of each individual and may vary from session to session depending on response to care.

How often do I need physical therapy?

This depends on the severity of injury. Most women will benefit from weekly visits to establish routine and build strength. It takes up to six weeks to change muscle fibers, but strength gains and pain relief should be notable after a few sessions.

Is there a cancellation policy?

Please alert me of any cancellations 24 hours prior to your appointment, advanced notice is greatly appreciated.
